I hate that girls are raised to do a ton of stuff, all to please a man. Growing up, I didn’t cut my hair, because my dad told me guys like long hair. I shaved because i was told that guys don’t like hair anywhere other than your head. I started putting on makeup because guys don’t like acne. And now, I actually believe that I can’t go out into the world without doing these things. I believe that my face without makeup is ugly. I’m self conscious going out if I haven’t shaved. I’m scared to cut my hair off because I’ll look ugly. I grew up to think that. Wah. I JUST WANT TO DO WHAT I WANT AND ALSO HAVE A CUTE BOYFRIEND WHO LIKES ME FOR MY PERSONALITY, OKAY.
